Greysteel is seeking a full-time Market Director who shares our core values of Collaboration, Relationships and Excellence, and is committed to identifying talent and developing commercial real estate advisors in investment sales, capital markets, and structured finance. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our executive team to drive revenue and support initiatives within talent acquisition, training, development, and performance management.  
 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Recruitment Leadership: Continuously recruit mid- and entry-level commercial real estate advisors to grow our service lines and practice groups within your assigned region. Active participation in industry associations and business development events, including speaking engagements and advisory board roles. 
  • Advisor Mentoring: Provide strategic guidance for goal setting, review business plans, co-develop quarterly pipeline projections, analyze performance outcomes and engage in performance and retention discussions. 
  • Training and Development: Inspire by understanding their unique needs for success. Lead local and regional training sessions and workshops in coordination with Greysteel’s national training director.  Assess advisor knowledge levels and manage their progression through various training phases.  
Qualifications
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of current Commercial Real Estate experience, with expertise in Investment Sales, Debt Placement, and/or Structured Finance with a preference for experience at national platforms. 
  • Market Presence: Established relationships, memberships in relevant associations, and deep-rooted connections in the industry and throughout California. 
  • Alignment with Core Values: A willingness and ability to uphold the Greysteel core values of Collaboration, Relationships, and Excellence (CRE). 
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and grow a team of highly successful professionals. 
  • Negotiation Expertise: Advanced negotiation skills are a must. 
  • Self-Directed: Excellent time-management skills, coachability, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Analytical Thinking: Capable of analyzing complex business and financial data and developing innovative solutions. 
  • Education: A bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college is required, with a preference for degrees in business, finance, real estate, accounting, or related fields and advanced degrees. 
  • Licensing: Possession of an active real estate or mortgage loan originator license is strongly preferred.
